Women in Construction (WIC) Week is a time to acknowledge the achievements, contributions, and challenges faced by women in the construction industry. It aims to empower women to achieve greater success in the industry and to highlight the opportunities available to them. The week serves as a platform to promote the increasing presence of women in construction and to make the industry more inclusive. The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) initiated WIC Week. The 2025 theme, "Together We Rise," acknowledges the strength and knowledge of women and their vital role in shaping the future of the construction sector. Sarah Mearhoff (Director of Advocacy and Communications at the AGC/VT), alongside Board Members, celebrated Women in Construction Week.

That’s a wrap on Women in Construction Week 2025! Together We Rise. This year’s WIC Week (founded by National Association of Women in Construction) was a huge success. NAWIC Vermont 395 hosted an inspiring equity workshop, engaging socials, and an eye-opening job site tour. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with both women and men in the industry, share experiences, and celebrate the incredible women paving the way for the next generation of construction professionals.
