We’re in the home stretch! The last day of our Pajama Drive benefiting Maggie’s Place is Thursday, 11/21/24, and we need your help to make a final impact. Maggie's Place is a wonderful nonprofit organization that provides housing, support, and community to expectant and new mothers in need. Their mission is to help families achieve self-sufficiency while creating a nurturing environment for children. We are collecting pajamas to help these families stay warm and comfortable during the colder months. If you haven’t already, please consider donating new pajamas for the children. This past Friday, NAWIC Greater Phoenix had the pleasure of being invited back to PCL Construction's Annual Golf Classic! While we may not be all golf pros, four amazing women from our chapter had the chance to represent NAWIC and participate in such a fun, well-organized event. Our October meeting at Grand Canyon University (GCU) was recently featured in HVACR Today! During this inspiring event, we heard from GCU’s College of Engineering, and Technology Associate Dean and two remarkable graduates of GCU’s pre-apprenticeship program. They shared invaluable insights into navigating the construction industry as women, discussing the challenges and opportunities that come with it and what it takes to be successful in this field. Their stories underscored the power of education, resilience, and mentorship in paving the way for more women to thrive in construction.
