NAWIC Boise Chapter 245

Recently, over 20 local women in construction visited the Micron expansion project in Boise, Idaho! Micron kicked off the event by sharing about the project in the office. It was an incredible opportunity to learn about the scale, complexity, and collaboration needed to build a leading-edge memory manufacturing fab and numerous support buildings. ? The tour highlighted the methods and technology being used on site, including an AI-driven robotic dog that, when equipped with specialized cameras, walks itself across the site to create a 3D-rendering of the build?. This futuristic approach allows an accurate measure of the progress and quality of the build. We also spoke with the project leaders about the unique challenges and solutions that come with a project of this size. It was a great experience to learn about the construction process of Micron’s expansion project firsthand. Happy Women in Construction Week!
