This Native American Heritage Month, NAWBO DFW is proud to celebrate the powerful contributions of Native American business owners. Native American women are leading the way in entrepreneurship, bringing resilience, innovation, and cultural pride to the business world. In fact, Native American women own over 170,000 businesses across the U.S., generating billions in revenue and creating countless opportunities in their communities. NAWBO remembers trailblazing women’s rights advocate Lilly Ledbetter who passed away last month. Lilly’s fight for equal pay started in the 1990s, when she received an anonymous letter that said she was being paid far less than her male colleagues who had similar or less seniority and experience. Her advocacy efforts led to the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009.

This Veterans Day, NAWBO DFW proudly honors the strength, resilience, and leadership of our veterans who have served our country with courage. We also extend our gratitude to military spouses—the often unsung heroes who keep everything running smoothly at home while loved ones are away. Your sacrifices and unwavering support do not go unnoticed. Thank you for your dedication to our nation and communities.
