Leaders aspire to achieve high performance, cultivate strong cultures, create a positive impact, and engage in meaningful work. However, challenges such as market disruptions, rapid workforce changes, and uninformed leadership practices can make leaders vulnerable to poor performance, negative cultures, diminished well-being, and burnout. Beyond the Sea promotes and teaches Leading with Love, drawing from diverse experiences and offering practical tools for leaders to transform themselves, overcome challenges, build meaningful relationships, and elevate organizational performance. The three core ideas from Leading with Love include: Leading with Love: Adopting a leadership approach that prioritizes empathy, understanding, and compassion not only fosters well-being but also creates a positive work environment. Measurable Impact: Using the research-based Leader Member Exchange assessment, you can see firsthand how Leading with Love significantly boosts positive cultures and outcomes. This method is backed by over 50 years of real-world evidence, showing improvements in job turnover, burnout, and productivity. Realize True Success: Embracing Leading with Love transcends the pursuit of material gains or power. It's about achieving a fulfilling life through serving and assisting others, ultimately embodying what it truly means to lead a 'good life.'

Love in leadership means choosing trust over fear, connection over control, and service over status. It means leading with empathy while holding high standards, creating teams where people can reach both their own and team's goals, and knowing that real success follows when people feel valued. It sounds simple, but it’s not easy. It requires courage, consistency, and a commitment to showing up for others, even when it’s hard. But the best leaders know that love isn’t a weakness. It’s the foundation of real, lasting impact. Are you ready to build a culture where success follows love?

Leadership isn’t just about results. It’s about the people who make them happen. Too often, leadership training feels like a one-day event that fades by the next morning. That’s not what we do. Our "Leading with Love" seminars are more than just a powerpoint. They're a leadership experience backed by academic research that can transform your workplaces into a place where trust, respect, and purpose fuel success. We provide hands-on, interactive tools that leaders can apply immediately to create lasting change. The average person spends 90,000 hours at work in their lifetime. What kind of impact will your leadership have in that time? For your team to lead with love means: 1. Sacrificial Giving – Putting others before yourself, investing in your team’s growth, and making decisions that serve the greater good. 2. Empathy & Accountability – Creating a culture where people feel heard and supported while holding each other to high standards. 3. Reframing Strength – Redefining leadership as service, resilience, and the courage to lead with integrity and compassion. Let’s build a workplace where people thrive and results follow. As we honor Presidents' Day, one story about President George H.W. Bush stands out. Throughout his life, he often reflected on the phrase?“Why me?” Its origins date back to World War II when he was shot down over the Pacific. He was the sole survivor of his crew and was miraculously rescued by the submarine USS?Finback—just moments before he would have been captured by Japanese forces known to cannibalize prisoners. In that moment, he asked himself,?“Why me? Why was I saved?” From that day forward, he dedicated his life to serving others, believing that life is a gift meant to be given back in service. His impact was undeniable because he lived with a purpose—selflessly helping those around him. Even now, I get chills writing this. My event at Texas A&M University and the George H. W. Bush Library last Thursday (2/13/25) was profoundly moving. The culture of selfless service that President Bush embodied is still alive there today—it’s truly magical.?Leading with love begins with selfless giving, and that spirit is deeply ingrained in the Bush Library and Texas A&M. Bush from 2001 to 2006) and I at the event last week. 3. A photo of Aurora, a senior cadet at Texas A&M and the daughter of a former shipmate from?USS Texas. 4. Signed photo from Andy Card. 5.
