I built an AI agent that creates high-quality blog posts for our portfolio company Pxl. Let me teach you how I built it: When I started Waterglass in 2024, one of our core principles was to use automation and AI to run ventures more efficient. This is how the Pxl AI agent works: 1. It waits for our input on what to write by pulling the latest tickets from Notion (ALL of our business runs on Notion). 2. It then downloads *all previously* published blog posts from GitHub and analyzes them. 3. Next, it creates a new SEO-optimized blog post based on the briefing to match exactly our style of writing. 4. It then decides where to cross-link to existing blog posts (!) 5. Finally, it generates a SEO-optimized title, URL, and builds a simple header image. Once we reviewed the article, we simply tick a box [?] for it to proceed and deploy it to pxl?to/blog That's it. In the beginning I was sceptic about letting AI write content, but it's already doing 90% of the work for us – and it's doing an amazing job. The only thing that's left for us is to approve the post. We just shipped AI Agents for deep research over all your company’s knowledge. After talking to users, we’ve discovered two main problems with the existing solutions. 1. The times when users need a search tool the most, they don’t know how to describe the documents in the perfect terms for a single search to be able to find it. 2. Many of the more interesting questions at work don’t break down into a simple search. For example, if I want to compare the sales process done for two customers, I need to deeply research the process for each and the resulting outcomes. So we’ve built an open source deep research system over all connected sources (think Google Drive, Slack, Salesforce, Confluence, etc.) that can break down the user’s question and iteratively dive deeper into the directions that it finds promising as it’s researching. And it doesn’t just stop there. Onyx's AI agent analyzes its own chain-of-thought and answers to ensure that there are no unsupported claims, contradictions, or missing parts in the final answer.
