We are happy to announce our acquisition of nearly 11 MW of Illinois #communitysolar projects from Renewable Properties, a developer and investor in small-scale utility, community solar, energy storage and electric vehicle infrastructure projects. When this portfolio is operational, the two projects will generate a combined 17,300 MWh annually, the equivalent electricity use of 2,615 average #Illinois homes. “By working with a seasoned development company like Renewable Properties to expand our community solar footprint in Illinois, we are empowering more residents and businesses to lower their electricity costs without the burden of costly up-front investments, ensuring that solar energy is both affordable and accessible, said Eric Paul, VP of Partner Development at Nautilus. Together, we’re working towards better land management, reducing wildfire risks, and supporting local ecosystems through sheep grazing.

Meet Nicole McNamara, CPA, one of our Staff #Accountants. ?? We are thrilled to feature Nicole in this month’s #EmployeeSpotlight series. She started with us in October 2023and is responsible for posting, analyzing, and reconciling account information for Nautilus's corporate and debt entities to ensure that our financial statements are accurate, in accordance with GAAP, and in compliance with our internal policies. Also, she assists with our annual external audit and quarterly reporting requirements for our debt facilities. Nicole graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2020 where she double majored and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Supply Chain Management. She has her CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license in both Maryland and Virginia. In her free time, Nicole loves to be active whether it's a workout class, hiking, kayaking, traveling, or walking dogs at her local Maryland SPCA. She lives in Baltimore, near where a few of our community solar sites are located and is excited to get to tour one with the rest of the accounting team in May! We're proud to announce that 15 of our #communitysolar farms in Maine reached commercial operation in 2024. With a passion for leadership in the #renewables industry, Daniel combines a friendly yet persistent approach to drive success in our commercial subscription efforts. Daniel has been a stalwart in the energy sector since graduating from State University of New York at Oswego in 2012 and earning his MBA from D'Youville University in 2017. He joined Nautilus Solar in 2022, where he excels in identifying corporate community solar partnerships and negotiating credit purchase agreements across multiple markets. Additionally, he extends solar benefits to large employers and their networks through our innovative 'Eco-Benefits' Program, fostering both environmental and social synergy. In his personal time, Daniel is a skilled bowler, a passionate Buffalo Bills season ticket holder, a Board Member for the Solar-Powered Buffalo Heritage Carousel, and a devoted #GirlDad.
