??? "I never thought I could make a difference until I came to NatureBridge... In my field journal, I was a scientist, writer, and most of all, a changemaker." –Satvika, NatureBridge student ???? This is the power of outdoor education. When students step outside and identify their connections to the world, they don’t just learn about nature—they discover their own potential to engage with it and protect it. ??? Through hands-on investigations, storytelling, and leadership opportunities, they are inspired to make a difference. ???? #OutdoorLearning #NatureEducation #EnvironmentalStewardship #NatureLovers #YouthInNature #ExploreOutdoors #SustainableFuture #HandsOnLearning #NatureConservation #ProtectOurParks

We connect young people to the natural world in nature's best classroom—our national parks!
关于我们
Environmental science in nature’s classroom NatureBridge provides hands-on environmental science programs for young people. Our multi-day programs take place outdoors in the magnificence of nature’s classroom, where students are immersed in the wonder and science of our national parks in Yosemite, Golden Gate, Olympic and Prince William Forest. Founded as Yosemite Institute in 1971, today NatureBridge welcomes more than 700 schools and 30,000 students and teachers annually to our four campuses. After more than 50 years of teaching and inspiring students, NatureBridge has provided life-changing experiences for more than one million participants and is a national leader in the field of environmental education. Providing access for all students NatureBridge environmental science programs are inclusive. We work intentionally to bring students from underserved communities to our programs and to offer culturally relevant and transformative experiences in our national parks. Almost 50% of our participating schools receive scholarship support and more than 30% of our students are from underrepresented communities. The NatureBridge business model is fueled by a powerful combination of earned and contributed revenue. More than 70% of our revenue comes from the tuition associated with our environmental science programs and the remaining 30% comes from donations. As a 501(c)(3) we rely on generous donations to advance our mission, to provide scholarships, and to support new curricula development and program extensions into classrooms. Making an impact Our staff of environmental science educators is at the core of our organization. Working with small groups of elementary, middle, and high school students, our educators bring science to life in national parks through engaging environmental science lessons paired with walks, hikes, scrambles, explorations and overnight backcountry expeditions to the best spots in each park.

?? ?? Congratulations to this year's Baxter Award winners: Molly Sennett, Casen Splain, and Taylor Woolsey! The Matthew A. Baxter, III Memorial Fund encourages applications from any NatureBridge staff member with a dream of seeking adventure, personal growth, and giving back, and this year’s recipients have inspiring approaches to all of these criteria. Here's a peek into their plans: Molly: "A three week, solo bike-packing journey along ~900 miles of the western coastline of Ireland, called the Wild Atlantic Way. I plan on documenting my journey via social media @mollysennett so look out in the future if you would like to follow and support my journey!" Casen: "I will be taking a 290-mile solo trek on Sweden’s Kungsleden trail as I step away from my role as a constantly-available mother to embrace independence, resilience, and adventure. This journey is a chance to rediscover myself and redefine what it means to balance motherhood with individual exploration." Taylor: "Using strategies that support my neurodivergence, I will create a daily writing practice as I adventure in the places of ancient Celtic lore, working with the land and culminating in the completion of a passion poetry project." Please join us in congratulating Molly, Casen, and Taylor! ?? ?? ??
