?? Our Pledge to Equity: Nature Wired Joins the Equity 2030 Alliance! At Nature Wired, we believe collective action paves the way for an inclusive, sustainable, and gender-equitable future—one where women’s voices are amplified, their needs are prioritized, and their potential is fully realized. The Equity 2030 Alliance, launched in September 2023 by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is a transformative initiative aimed at achieving equity in science, technology, and financing by 2030. In today’s rapid technological advances, women’s perspectives and needs are too often overlooked, leaving critical gaps in innovation and inclusivity. By joining this alliance, Nature Wired is deepening its commitment to advancing gender equity in climate technology, particularly within the carbon and biodiversity credit markets. Our focus is on: ? Supporting nature-based projects led by or benefiting marginalized communities, especially women. ? Addressing the unique challenges faced by women-led projects, including access to credit markets. ? Fostering opportunities for women in leadership, financial independence, and sustainable practices. We also want to express our gratitude to Emma Hietaniemi and the rest of the UNFPA team for their visionary leadership in pushing the dial forward on gender equity.
