Fostering appreciation and stewardship of our environment by educating and connecting community to the world around us.

关于我们

Nature Vision fosters appreciation and stewardship of our environment by educating and connecting community to the world around us. We envision an inspired and connected culture where everyone makes choices for a sustainable future. Nature Vision is an environmental education nonprofit organization that brings place based, experiential nature programming directly to schools and local greenspaces. We work to ensure that all students receive quality nature connections where they need them the most. Nature Vision serves over 65,000 Pre-K through 12th grade students each year in King and Snohomish Counties. Our programming supports the Washington State K-12 Learning Standards and STEM Education and can be easily integrated into schools. Many of our lessons set conceptual foundations and repeat visits help connect one lesson with another. Nature Vision facilitates student access to nature and scientific concepts, thus developing a deep-rooted student interest in making the natural world a necessary and integrated part of daily life. Nature Vision was originally the King County Nature Connections program. In 2003 when budget cuts eliminated the county program, dedicated staff transformed the program into a non-profit organization (501c3).

Interested in an engaging outdoor nature camp for your child? We have just a few remaining spots at our Sammamish Summer Day Camp in Beaver Lake Park! Our camps offer kids hands-on experiences, and a chance to connect with nature and learn about the world around them. We have two weeks of camp in Sammamish this summer, Nature Art week (July 15-19) and Cascade Curiosity week (July 22-26). Nature Art camp is perfect for the artistic camper! This week will focus on nature inspired art, connecting with the natural world, and creating unique works of art. During Cascade Curiosity week, campers will discover the wonders of the Pacific Northwest by going on nature walks, exploring the forest, and learning about native plants and animals. Here is what one parent had to say about their child's experience at Nature Vision Camp: “My son loves nature and to be creative. The camp helped him learn how to merge the two for an enjoyable experience and to expand his creative abilities.” If you’re looking for a special summer experience that gets your child outside, learning, and having a blast, register now at https://lnkd.in/gNqqRgUt before the last spots are gone.

Nature Vision offers summer camps at three sites in King County: Shoreline, Redmond, and Sammamish. Nature Vision’s Shoreline Summer Camp at Hamlin Park still has a few spots open! Our nature camps are meaningful, unique, and engaging, with each camp being led by our educators. July 29th- August 2nd is Cascade Curiosity week, where campers will discover the wonders of the Pacific Northwest by going on nature walks, exploring the forest, and learning about native plants and animals. The week of August 5th- 9th is perfect for the artistic camper! This week will focus on nature inspired art, connecting with the natural world, and creating unique works of art. August 12th-16th is all about wildlife! Campers will have the chance to investigate natural artifacts, learn how wildlife interact with their environment, and explore the forest. In the August 19th -23rd Enchanted Explorers week, campers will get to discover the wonders of nature and use their imaginations through nature hikes. Here’s what one parent had to say about our high-quality camps: “Our son generally likes most of his other camps, but there is some spark-magic of being outside, with a structure that allows him to create and be that just sets him to glowing each night. He also seems to make the most genuine new-friend connections through this camp than he does in others.” If you or a friend is looking for a special summer experience that gets your child outside, learning, and having a blast, register now at https://lnkd.in/gYT-bd-s before the last spots are gone.
