The Naturalena Foundation was pleased to present an information session to Victim Assist Queensland on the escalating issue of technology-facilitated abuse in Australia. Our Technology Abuse Detection and Assessment Hub, a key initiative of the Foundation, provides specialist services to help identify and mitigate digital threats faced by victims of abuse. Technology-facilitated abuse is a rapidly growing concern worldwide. In Australia, research indicates that one in two adults have experienced at least one form of such abuse in their lifetime. This highlights the urgent need for education and awareness to support those affected. Victim Assist Queensland provides financial assistance and support services to help victims recover from the impacts of violent crime. Their work is critical in ensuring that victims can access the resources they need to rebuild their lives. Responding to the needs of victims of crime requires a comprehensive framework that brings together different specialist services. The Bayside Community Legal Centre (BCLC) recently hosted its annual Strategy Day at the Naturalena Foundation offices, and we were proud to be part of such an important event.
