From gutting USAID to closing all EPA environmental justice offices, Trump is guaranteeing that Americans will suffer. These agencies are critical to protecting the people who need it most. This will only halt progress toward a safer, healthier earth and a more sustainable future for all. It’s time for our elected leaders to hold Trump accountable for his actions on behalf of the people they serve.

The Earth's Best Defense
关于我们
NRDC is the nation's most effective environmental action organization. We use law, science and the support of 1.3 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things. Worth Magazine has named NRDC one of America's 100 best charities, and the Wise Giving Alliance of the Better Business Bureau reports that NRDC meets its highest standards for accountability and use of donor funds. NRDC was founded in 1970 by a group of law students and attorneys at the forefront of the environmental movement. NRDC lawyers helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws. Today, our staff of more than 300 lawyers, scientists and policy experts -- a MacArthur "genius" award-winner among them -- work out of offices in New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Beijing. The New York Times calls us "One of the nation's most powerful environmental groups." The National Journal says we're "A credible and forceful advocate for stringent environmental protection." With the support of our members and online activists, NRDC works to solve the most pressing environmental issues we face today: curbing global warming, getting toxic chemicals out of the environment, moving America beyond oil, reviving our oceans, saving wildlife and wild places, and helping China go green.

We’re taking the Trump administration to court to defend our oceans from offshore drilling and Trump’s “drill baby drill” agenda. Donate to support our fight: https://lnkd.in/g2GvQWir

My team is looking for a top-notch relationship manager to build and strengthen partnerships with climate philanthropists from Washington, D.C. to Florida. It couldn't be a more critical moment to join the environmental movement and the stakes are higher than ever. Happy to answer questions or pass along confidential referrals!

The hardworking people at the EPA have made sure that we had clean air, safe drinking water, and a healthy environment for more than 50 years. By firing more than a thousand critical scientists and teams, it’s clear that President Trump is willing to trade our health, lives, and livelihoods to enrich billionaires. To them, it was never about saving money. It’s about letting polluters off the hook and leaving us all to pay the price.

Thank you to everyone who joined NRDC at SXSW to explore the beauty of Mexico’s Gulf of California and learn more about a dangerous new Big Oil proposal backed by J.P. Morgan and others that would turn the gulf into a massive gas station exporting dirty fossil fuels. We’d also like to thank NRDC experts Mima Holt and Joel Reynolds, Pablo Monta?o of Conexiones Climáticas, and Mexican actor, director, and producer Gael García Bernal for leading our panel discussion about Wall Street’s role in the expansion of destructive Big Oil projects: https://lnkd.in/d78QPg-6?

President Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin have launched an unprecedented attack on the EPA’s mission to protect the environment and the health of Americans. Zeldin announced plans to repeal or weaken a staggering 31 standards that are vital to protecting public health and addressing the climate crisis. This comes along with the closure of all the EPA’s environmental justice offices and the cancellation of $20 billion contracts that further clean energy. These actions send a very clear signal: Polluters get a free ride, and the rest of us will pay for it.

Big thank you to everyone who attended Climate Action Now Monthly Film Festival's screening and panel discussion of “Built to Last: Buyers Beware” featuring film director George Siegal and NRDC’s Director of Flooding Solutions Rob Moore. This award-winning documentary sends a crucial message about communities on the frontlines of increasing climate disasters.

It’s hard to turn on the news and see yet another community devastated by the impacts of the climate crisis. Not everyone experiences the same effects of climate change—and not everyone has access to the resources that are necessary to recover. Every fraction of a degree of warming we can prevent will help save lives.

Our forests are the latest target of President Trump’s ongoing attacks on the environment. His recent executive order seeks to fast-track logging on federal lands, bypassing bedrock legal protections for forest habitats and diverting resources from things like protecting communities from the impacts of wildfires. Forests—especially older ones—give us all clean air and water and provide countless defenses against climate change. We can’t let the government feed them to the chainsaw of wealthy corporations.
