Full Circle at the Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge! ???? Last week, I had the absolute privilege of judging the Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge at the University of Washington, and it felt like a full-circle moment! As a proud UW Foster School of Business alum, it was wild to be back on campus, surrounded by the energy of student innovators- competing to help shape the future of healthcare. ?? The creativity? Next-level. ?? The dedication? Inspiring. ?? The future of healthcare? Looking BRIGHT. One of the best parts? Seeing my professor William Canestaro, PhD, reconnecting with colleagues I graduated with Todd Cutter, MBA —this time, not as classmates, but as judges and mentors for the next generation of healthcare-focused innovators! As someone who has found her purpose in healthcare technology for better patient outcomes, it was exciting to see so many ideas that are on their way to transforming elements of this industry. From affordable diagnostics to life-saving medical devices focused on solving for healthcare equity disparities , these teams came with bold ideas and the heart to match. Huge congrats to all the winners! ???? Your hard work, innovation, and passion for making progress for patients and providers stood out. It’s the reason why Seattle is considered one of the most innovative cities, driven by its robust startup ecosystem. As we speak, my brother is fighting for his life after experiencing cardiogenic shock, septic shock, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and the host of complications such as ischemic stroke after his recent heart attack. I am grateful beyond words as I marvel at the technological advances that are helping to rapidly improve my brother’s condition.
