One of our key strengths is our ability to provide floodproofing solutions custom to each project's specific requirements. An excellent example is our work at Tweed New Haven Airport, a critical facility highly susceptible to coastal flooding and flash floods. Using the Super Flood Log, we protected 15 openings using a variety of custom designs to meet the unique needs of the airport. This custom design has since been tested by mother nature, proving to be a strong defense for this facility and its future flood risk. Sloping sidewalk? We have the solution! 'The Keller' is a landmark West Village condominium complex with commanding views of the Hudson, but it sits just 300' away! To protect this building, our project at 144-150 Barrow St needed a combination of @FloodPanel #floodlogs and #floodpanels. Just like our project at 101 Lincoln in the Bronx! Once again, we utilized the custom flood panels on the slopes and transitioned to flood logs for the remainder of the long array. The stackable, modular Flood logs are: ? Light weight/easy to carry! ? Have less connection points! ? Meaning FAST+EASY to deploy! ? And, they take up less space to store! Check out this beauty! This week we were in Wrightsville Beach, NC at the all new Bevvy Mart on Causeway Drive installing @FloodPanel #FloodLogs on a total of 7 openings to a height of 7' to protect this brand new building from any impending storm surge from the Banks Channel Inlet it sits on! The combination of permanent wall plates (which will be custom painted to match the brick facade) and removeable jamb mounts on the smooth concrete (barely noticeable when undeployed with the sleek sidewalk bolts) are fast and easy to deploy, and store without taking up a ton of space in their backroom (what's better than that)! We recently completed the Montgomery Township Municipal Sewer Authority Grinder Chamber Flood Protection Project in Montgomery County, PA. We furnished and installed @FloodPanel #FloodLogs around the perimeter of an influent grinder chamber structure at a wastewater treatment plant. We're pretty sure you don't want to see what this grinder chamber does, but we sure do want to show off these beautiful photos of the install and deployment training! Mystic, CT is a major New England tourist destination along the Connecticut shoreline with many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places erected in the late 17th and early 18th century. In 2023, the downtown area along both sides of the Mystic River has seen significant tidal flooding from major rain events heavily impacting many businesses dependent on tourism. National Flood Protection is already engaged with several property owners, including the Mystic Seaport, to develop their flood mitigation plan. To further the flood resiliency of this beautiful village, we met this week with the Historic District Commission (HDC) in a joint presentation with The Town of Groton, CT Sustainability and Resilience Manager. They presented their findings from a recent downtown Mystic resiliency study and we gave an overview of our @FloodPanel flood mitigation products and services. We addressed specific concerns on how the flood barrier systems can be installed on historically significant buildings yet preserve the unique character of these structures when undeployed.
