Is your LinkedIn profile set for your capital raise? Here's what to do. * This is part 1/6 of a free email course by Meet.Capital. ** Comment on this post if you want the course sent to your email, along with guides, videos, and lists of 1050 active angels and VCs). Investors will look you up online before agreeing to meet you, and they will reach your LinkedIn profile page while doing so. As a startup founder, you want a LinkedIn profile focused on your mission and not on you (assuming you’re not looking for a job). It should get the right investor curious to meet you and learn more about what you’re building. 5 quick fixes are really all you need: 1. Your headline: This is the most important part of your LinkedIn profile. It is the first thing people will read when they encounter your profile. It should reflect what you do and make it clear to any relevant investor that they could be interested in learning more about what you do. 2. Your profile image - one that makes you look good, like a professional someone would want to do business with. 3. Your profile banner - use it to showcase your startup. It should have a bit of text and a colorful image. 4. Your “About†section - should start with a couple of sentences about your startup. Not about you. 5. Your LinkedIn URL - this takes less than a minute to fix. Your URL should only include your name, and will make you easier to find on LinkedIn. (The email version of this part of the course includes a quick PDF guide for all these steps) *** Tomorrow, I'll post part 3/6: How to connect with angel investors on LinkedIn. ** Comment on this post if you want the course sent to your email, along with guides, videos, and lists of 1050 active angels and VCs). ??
