NATIVE, Inc is hosting Community Forum Sessions at its Bismarck location: 2403 East Thayer Avenue Bismarck ND 58501 Community Forum Sessions will collect design and needs for a Community Cultural Center in Bismarck. The cultural center includes: gymnasium, art gallery, auditorium, community kitchen, cafeteria, outdoor sweat lodge space, ceremony room, workshop spaces, multiple office spaces, conference space, small business incubator spaces, and 6 storefronts. Now we want hear the needs and design from the public! ??Announcement: New Hire in Bismarck office?? Please welcome Kyra Jaeger-LaRoche, our new Domestic Violence Advocate and Coordinator. Kyra is a member of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara (MHA) Nation. She grew up in Dickinson ND. She graduated from Dickinson High School in 2015. She went to Dickinson State University and graduated in 2019 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a double minor in Psychology and Sociology. Before working for Native Inc., I worked as an Advocate for children and their families who have been impacted by abuse or neglect. I’m a single mother of two, and a domestic violence survivor. ??New Position in Fargo Announcement?? Please welcome, Teagan DeCoteau, she is our new Culture and Arts Programs Coordinator in our Fargo office! She is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa. She grew up on the reservation in Belcourt. She graduated from Turtle Mountain High School in 2020 and went straight to Turtle Mountain College for 2 years and obtained an associates degree. She then transferred to North Dakota State University (NDSU) in January 2022 and graduated from NDSU in May of 2024 with her Bachelor’s in University Studies and a minor in Business Administration. Before working with Native, Inc. she worked with Infonero as a customer service agent and learned a lot of different online platforms and gained a lot of knowledge. She also worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Turtle Mountain Tribe. She wants to help better her tribal community and the Fargo Native community! She will be participating and be an advocate in the parent advisory committee in the Fargo public schools on behalf of NATIVE, Inc.!
