Humans vs AI: Qualitative Research Cool research just published in the American Marketing Association's Journal of Marketing. Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison tested just how well LLMs like ChatGPT perform in qualitative research - both in generating qualitative data (via LLM role-play vs. self-reported human data) and analysing it (extracting valuable insights). TL;DR: AI-powered qual is solid and can outperform human-only approaches in terms of insightfulness.
