The National Universities Padel League (NUPL) is the UK’s first official competitive student padel league, led by students with a passion for the sport. Our mission is to create a premier university sports competition while enhancing pathways for competitive padel across the UK. With the generous financial support of R3 Sport, we have successfully delivered high-quality, university-level padel to over 10 institutions this year, entirely free of charge, fostering the sport’s growth and accessibility.

Starting 2025, it is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the National Universities Padel League’s first half of the season. What has happened so far with the NUPL in 2024??? ??10 participant Universities:?(4 Northern, 6 Southern). ??Conferences:?Northern and Southern, with 2 men’s divisions and 1 women’s division per conference. ??Fixtures to date:?3 successful fixture days completed with 120 students participating and 150+ attendees & socials held afterwards. ??Sponsorship success:?Raised sufficient sponsorship through R3 Sport to cover all court costs for the season and Finals Day. ??Remaining fixtures:?2 Northern and 3 Southern fixture events scheduled for the remainder of the 24/25 season. NUPL 2024/25 Season Finals Day ??The Tournament:?Set to be a season-ending celebration of British student padel, where the highest ranked pairs across the Northern and Southern conference meet to be crowned national men and womens champions. ??Event vision:?A unique, first-of-its-kind celebration of grassroots student padel, focused on high-quality padel alongside an engaging off-court experience. We aim to deliver a new style of padel event with company pop-ups, impressive player prizes, spectator raffles, a post-competition social and more. Looking Ahead to the 2025/26 Season ??League expansion:?Look to increase participanting universities. ??New Conference:?Currently under development. ??Sponsorship and partnerships: Developing collaborations with more companies to make student padel more accessible.
