Drum roll please.... We are thrilled to announce the winner of the 2024 CASE Research Grant: Dr. David Jenson! Dr. Jenson, an Associate Professor at Washington State University, will use this $15,000 funding opportunity for his study, “The Impact of Self-Disclosure on Autonomic Activity in People Who Stutter and their Conversational Partners.” The NSA CASE Research Grant is designed to support research that will contribute to our knowledge about stuttering in the areas of Community, Advocacy, Support, and/or Education (CASE) as they relate to our mission. Meet?Jim McClure, an esteemed NSA storyteller with a rich background in newspaper reporting, PR, consultancy, and military service. A pioneer in the stuttering community, Jim founded the NSA’s Chicago chapter in 1984 and has served in various leadership roles. Named NSA Member of the Year (2005) and inducted into the Stuttering Hall of Fame (2007), Jim continues his advocacy for stuttering awareness.
