It's time to celebrate another #NHDAlum: Former exhibit competitor Leslie Madrigal is now pursuing a Master's degree in Heritage Conservation at the University of Southern California. She also co-coaches the National History Day team at her high school. Leslie's advice for current NHD students? "National History Day is public history, don't be afraid to connect with scholars, historians, people and incorporate them into your work. I credit National History Day for all my passions in preserving our stories."

From NHD exhibit to museum exhibit: New Mexico History Day students Hannah and Elena's 2024 exhibit is currently on display at the New Mexico History Museum. Their research examined the El Paso Gas Baths and how Mexican agricultural workers who came to the U.S. legally in the early 20th century were subjected to gas baths as they came into the U.S. Congratulations to these outstanding students on such an exciting honor!
