Shri L. Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland, visited the NBT-India book exhibition at KTS 3.0, a cultural confluence celebrating the rich heritage of Tamil literature. He was pleased to see Tamil books on display and selected two books from the India 75 series for himself. Translation Workshop by NBT-India Translation Workshop was hosted by NBT-India with chief guest Mrs. Jayanti Murali guiding the session. Students from Banaras Hindu University engaged in translating selected 30 Hindi books into Tamil. Mrs. Jayanti shared expert insights, refining translations to enhance their literary beauty. Participants eagerly narrated their Tamil versions, receiving constructive feedback. As Day 1 concluded, the enthusiasm was high, with everyone looking forward to more literary explorations!

As part of the prestigious Kashi Tamil Sangamam 3.0, National Book Trust, India was honored with the opportunity to release a set of translated books on this significant platform at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The book release ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri R.N. Ravi, along with Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Banaras Hindu University. The Ph.D. scholars of BHU, were involved in the translation efforts under the guidance of Prof.Jagadeesan, with active support from Mr. Mathan Raj, Assistant Editor (Tamil) at the National Book Trust. During his keynote address, Governor Shri R.N. Ravi appreciated the translation efforts facilitated by National Book Trust, India and Banaras Hindu University, highlighting their role in preserving and promoting India’s diverse literary heritage. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting deeper cultural and intellectual connections between Tamil Nadu and Kashi.
