Fly-in season is in full swing! And my favorite type of fly-in is the one I don't have to schedule all the meetings for. Earlier this week, I spent a day running around the Hill and seeking out the lesser-known entrances to the office buildings as we met with the White House and leaders on the Hill on behalf of the small businesses.
This administration and Congress have been working on tax legislation that will reshape the economy for years. NWPCA's small- and medium-sized businesses cannot afford to be left out, which is why this week's Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC) congressional fly-in (our 3rd in 18 months) couldn't have come at a better time.
We met with Senate offices, House offices, GOP leadership, and the White House to talk about how important it is to secure a tax policy that is permanent, achieves parity, and positions small businesses, like our pallet manufacturers, to continue to be the backbone of the US economy.
I'm proud to serve on the Exec Committee of the SBLC and know we will have a seat at the table to fight for NWPCA's members. And a special thanks to Reed Esarove, our NWPCA Government Affairs Committee Chair, for coming to DC to fight for our industry.
