关于我们

The NTA was formed in 1992 for the purpose of establishing a membership organization for tutoring professionals. Over the past years, the purpose has expanded to promote education, specialization, and scientific research. The NTA is now the oldest and largest professional association dedicated exclusively to tutoring, and represents the interests of thousands of tutors in the U.S. and thirteen other countries, practicing in all phases of tutoring, program administration, and supplemental student services. Members represent colleges, universities, high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, school districts, literacy programs, community programs, grant supported programs, and NCLB/SES providers. We welcome membership from peer, paraprofessional, professional, volunteer, and private practice tutors.

?? Membership Spotlight Friday: Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Student Learning Center ?? Today, we’re spotlighting an incredible program at Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Student Learning Center in Fayetteville, NC! Under the leadership of Brenda Harris, the center is transforming the way tutoring is done by reaching students across campus and building a community of support and recognition among staff and students alike. ?? This year marked the launch of Tutor Appreciation Week at the center, where tutors celebrated each other’s hard work with thoughtful gestures—from pizza for the whole team to small gift exchanges. The program also introduced a “Facilitator/Instructor/Tutor Spotlight,” recognizing outstanding staff with gift cards, ensuring that everyone’s efforts are honored by year’s end! ????? But the innovation doesn’t stop there! Brenda and co-director Ms. Kareka Chavis recently presented at the North Carolina Tutoring & Learning Association, sharing how their program takes tutoring beyond physical walls with faculty-led workshops, “exam jams,” pop-up tutoring events, and more. These initiatives bring support directly to students, creating a campus-wide network for academic success! ?????? We’re thrilled to celebrate the Fayetteville Technical Community College Student Learning Center for fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment that makes a real difference in students’ lives. Thank you for raising the bar for academic support! #NTAMemberSpotlight #NationalTutoringAssociation
