The National Space Intelligence Center is the Department of Defense’s primary source for space intelligence and is the Space Force’s service intelligence center. NSIC is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio.     NSIC currently has an opening for an Acquisition Team Lead, GG-1101-13. The organizational location of this position: National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC), Operating Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Description: The Acquisition Team lead continually studies, reviews, and evaluates program progress and acquisition strategies relating to the Center’s yearly Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and/or Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) funding execution(s). The team lead also plans and performs program management activities and support on behalf of the NSIC S5/8 function to include: acquisition support, technical guidance, program management discipline integration, requirements management oversight, management of procurement activities, support agreement management, budget allocation and control, contracting support, financial management, and logistics maintenance aspects. Additionally, the position leads and oversees Center procurement planning efforts to define services to be acquired, and leads activities of functional specialists including contracting, engineering, manufacturing, program control, configuration/ data management, test, and logistics. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position possesses a robust blend of leadership acumen, strategic thinking, and comprehensive knowledge of acquisition regulations and processes. They should have a proven track record of success in managing complex acquisition projects within the government sphere. They must exhibit strategic foresight, capable of devising and executing acquisition strategies aligned with organizational objectives while navigating the intricacies of government procurement policies. Moreover, possessing excellent communication and negotiation abilities is crucial for fostering productive relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and government agencies. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to ethical practices, ensuring compliance with acquisition regulations and fostering an environment of transparency and accountability within the team.     NSIC has an opening for an Intelligence Specialist, GG-0132-13. The organizational location of this position:?Buckley Space Force Base, CO? Description: NSIC is looking for an intelligence specialist to analyze adversary counterspace electronic warfare signals. Qualified candidates will have a solid understanding of RF signals analysis. Ideal candidates will have a background in both intelligence analysis and space systems (especially satellite communications and electromagnetic interference). Ideal Candidate: Will have prior experience as a military signals analyst (e.g., 1N2 and/or a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar degree) Additionally, the incumbent will lead a small team and have previous demonstrated leadership experience. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Professional knowledge of a wide range of principles associated with satellite communications (SATCOM) architecture, radio frequency (RF) signals and electromagnetic interference. 2. Prior experience or significant knowledge in the characterization, analysis and reporting of RF communications externals (COMEXT) data in support of operational and intelligence assessments. 3. Experience communicating with other analysts as well as senior leaders and applying soft-skills in a collaborative environment. 5. Description: The National Space Intelligence Center is looking for a Financial Analyst to perform financial management functions involving the formulation, justification, and/or execution of budget analysis and cost analysis, in support of fiscal control and oversight for the NSIC intelligence community. Extensive working knowledge of financial management concepts, principles, and practices. Understanding of accounting, contracting, and business processes. Knowledge of and ability to perform analysis of alternatives (AOA), course of action (COA) development, and trade-off analysis. Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and objectives. Skill in the application of mathematical and statistical analysis and various cost estimating techniques.
