In honor of Black History Month, we are highlighting some of our amazing, brilliant black Diplomates during the month of February. Today, we're featuring L. Kevin Chapman, Ph.D., HSPP, A-CBT. Dr. Kevin Chapman, a distinguished licensed clinical psychologist and the Founder and Director of the Kentucky Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. Dr. Chapman specializes in CBT with a focus on exposure techniques for panic disorder, social anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. He serves on the Scientific and Clinical Advisory Board for the International OCD Foundation and actively trains clinicians in Exposure and Response Prevention through the IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institute. Dr. Chapman also specializes in sport psychology, regularly assisting athletes who have become State Champions, All-Americans, Olympians, Pan American Champions, Junior Olympians, Professional Athletes, and other high performing athletes. Dr. Chapman regularly publishes, lectures, and presents research on the treatment of anxiety and related disorders. Dr. Chapman is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation, Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the Association for Applied Sports Psychology, and the Kentucky Psychological Association. He is also the outgoing program chair for the Master Clinician seminars for the A-CBT and the program chair for 2014. With a passion for advancing mental health care, Dr. Chapman is dedicated to helping individuals overcome anxiety and live more fulfilling lives.
