We had the pleasure of touring Northeastern Junior College in Logan County, Colorado last week!? ? Led by NJC President Dr. Mike White, we were given an in-depth tour of the college’s newly updated Wind Technology training facility. The facility is located near our Overland Pass Energy project and PEX transmission line project, which are both currently in development. ?? ? This program is providing students with the hands-on skills and experience to build our renewable future with necessary, new infrastructure and technology.? ? Thank you, Northeastern Junior College, for allowing us to see this incredible resource! #renewabletechnology?

Construction is humming along at Shallow Basket Energy! The Shallow Basket substation -- which is critical for connecting the power to the New Mexico grid -- is now energized!

We are excited to share that construction of Shallow Basket Energy is progressing on schedule!?? ?? Last year, we broke ground on this 140 MWac solar and 50 MW energy storage project. Today, we have installed 76 percent of the modules, and the project is on track to enter commercial operations later this year!??? ?? Once operational, the project will boost grid reliability in the area and support our landowner, the Jicarilla Apache Nation, through lease payments and a long-term energy contract with the Nation’s power provider, Guzman Energy.??? ?? #energystorage #solar???

We’re proud to be a part of this organization, which is dedicated to promoting a more vibrant energy marketplace. Katherine Urasky and Chase Cheshire were inspired by the beautiful views in Vail, Colorado!

Coming up this month --> Our team will head to #Denver for the Solar Power & Energy Storage Mountain West hosted by Colorado Solar and Storage Association (COSSA). NRS will be well represented with Lindsey Ransom, Katherine Urasky, and?Connor Kilday. Colorado has a fantastic solar and wind resource and we’re excited to join colleagues throughout the industry to discuss policies and opportunities in the state.? Join us on January 20-22!

This year we financed and began construction on our Shallow Basket Energy project, marking our official transition to an IPP! We developed this 140 MW solar and 50 MW storage project and will be the long-term owner and operator.? Thank you to all of our partners and team members who have made this year worth celebrating! ?
