Today's children spend 99% of their waking hours indoors, most of which take place in a formal educational setting. We at the National Outdoor Learning Alliance work with entrepreneurs, educators, administrators, and childcare providers to change this statistic by creating more high-quality outdoor programs around the country. We believe every child has the right to enjoy the innumerable benefits of nature, and that by changing the modern childhood experience, our communities will be healthier and happier as a result.
