?The Florida governor’s office did not approve the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary’s Restoration Blueprint in state waters. ??The Sanctuary has been undergoing a management plan and regulatory review since 2019. It represents more than ten years of collaboration among agencies and stakeholders. Without swift intervention, these treasured resources remain vulnerable to harm. Implementing conservation measures to safeguard the Florida Keys economy, cultural heritage, and natural resources for the benefit of current and future generations is essential.??

With the wrongful terminations of hundreds of crucial NOAA employees by the administration over the weekend, we must continue fighting to protect this institution, now more than ever. Thank you Senator Van Hollen, Congressman Raskin, Congressman Beyer, Congresswoman Delaney, Congressman Ivey, and all the ocean climate champions who rallied with us today to #SaveNOAA?? Together, we are demonstrating that the agency responsible for forecasting our weather, managing our fisheries and protecting our coasts must never be disbanded.

??Regardless of political party, voters want leaders to conserve public lands, not use them for oil and gas development. According to the State of the Rockies poll, even self-identified MAGA voters spoke up for public lands. Most favor protecting them.
