    There’s No Shame in Being a Job Seeker. I saw a post recently warning job seekers not to look desperate because it might push recruiters away. And honestly? That doesn’t sit right with me. Let’s be real—losing a job, struggling to find a new one, stressing over bills, and facing rejection over and over again is hard. If that’s where you are right now, I want you to hear this: there is no shame in being a job seeker. None. Could a strategic, targeted job search work better than mass applying? Sure. Could networking help? Absolutely. But let’s not act like urgency is a bad thing. You’re trying to find work. You’re trying to support yourself and your family. Of course, you’re eager. That doesn’t make you desperate—it makes you human. I genuinely wish I could respond to every single message that comes my way, but sometimes, I just can’t. Between managing searches, working with clients, and running my agency, I get pulled in so many directions that I simply don’t have enough hours in the day. That doesn’t mean I don’t care. It doesn’t mean I’m ignoring you. It just means that sometimes, I physically can’t keep up with the volume of outreach I receive. And honestly, I hate that. But if no one has told you this today: Keep going. Keep applying. Keep reaching out. Keep putting yourself out there. You are not a burden. You are not “too desperate.” You are someone looking for an opportunity, and there is nothing shameful about that.
