Curtis LaSalle, winner of a 2023 FedEx Freight Scholarship, is pursuing a degree in business from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

"I have wished to engage with a curriculum that includes both chemistry and biology for some time," says William P. Thompson, winner of a 2023 National Merit Vanderbilt University Scholarship. William is pursuing a bachelor of science degree studying molecular and cellular biology.

"I remember reading the fine print on the PSAT/NMSQT packet my freshman year of high school and making it a goal to try for [the National Merit Scholarship] competition. I am excited to be a part of this group of people," shares Kate Sappenfield, winner of a 2022 National Merit $2500 Scholarship. Kate attends North Carolina State University, where she is part of the International Business Dual Degree Program.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) hosted a gathering of Scholars at a reception held at the Chicago Club in Chicago, Illinois. Timothy Hall, winner of a 2019 National Merit $2500 Scholarship, earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics from Baylor University.
