The ACS NLCRT is a national coalition of over 220 member organizations dedicated to creating lung cancer survivors and lowering the impact of lung cancer through prevention, early detection, and optimal therapy. The American Cancer Society provides organizational leadership and expert staff support to the ACS NCCRT.

In 2024, the American Cancer Society’s Patient Support Pillar, alongside our incredible partners, made a profound difference in the lives of millions. We’re proud to share our 2024 Impact Report, highlighting key achievements: ? 878,000 rides provided to 68,000 patients, eliminating transportation barriers to treatment. ? 71,000 rides thanks to Road To Recovery volunteer drivers, supporting 6,200 cancer patients in need. ? 36,000 Hope Lodge guests saved $73M in hotel costs, ensuring no one faces cancer alone. ? 45,000 nights of lodging for 6,900 cancer patients thanks to lodging grants. We're thrilled to kick off Day 2 of #NLCRT2024 with a keynote presentation by Dr. Pasi J?nne, Senior Vice President for Translational Medicine & Director of the Belfer Center for Applied Cancer Science at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and recipient of the 2024 American Cancer Society Medal of Honor. Dr. J?nne, one of the co-discoverers of EGFR mutations, is joined by an expert panel for this crucial discussion on the lung cancer treatment landscape of the future.

Day 1 of #NLCRT2024 brought valuable discussions on lung cancer risk factors beyond tobacco use, as well as the crucial role of #PatientNavigation in reducing disparities and improving health equity across the lung cancer continuum. In the afternoon sessions, we took a closer look at the impactful initiatives launched by the American Cancer Society National Lung Cancer Roundtable this year and celebrated the remarkable contributions of our member organizations. A heartfelt thank you to our Steering Committee members for their dedication and continued support of our mission!
