We are thrilled to announce that Justice Verda M. Colvin of the Georgia Supreme Court and Sheena Meade, CEO of the Clean Slate Initiative (CSI), will serve as our keynote speakers for #NLADA24 Justice Colvin will join us for remarks at the 2024 NLADA Awards Luncheon and Sheena Meade will engage in a fireside chat with our President & CEO, April Frazier Camara, during the Opening Plenary. Justice Colvin was appointed to the Georgia Supreme Court by Governor Brian Kemp on July 29, 2021, after having been appointed to the Georgia Court of Appeals by Governor Kemp on April 9, 2020. She is the first African American female appointed by a Republican Governor. Justice Colvin previously served as a Superior Court Judge in the Macon Judicial Circuit, which serves Macon-Bibb, Crawford, and Peach Counties, having been appointed by Governor Nathan Deal on April 16, 2014. Sheena Meade heads CSI, a national bipartisan effort to advance policy that automatically clears eligible arrest and conviction records nationwide. With Sheena at the helm, CSI has been recognized as a Top 10 Female-Led Company by SUCCESS magazine, received a $75 million commitment from The Audacious Project in 2023, and has helped pass legislation in multiple states providing a path for 15 million people to receive full or partial record clearance.
