ICYMI: Assessing the Unsustainable Cost of Specialty Medications 2024 Survey of Public Sector Health Plans The National Institute for Public Employee Health Care Policy Employee Healthcare Policy, in collaboration with the The Public Sector HealthCare Roundtable, has published its annual report on the rising cost of specialty medications. Key highlights: ?? Surveyed plan sponsors provided 17 responses across 13 states. ?? Representing over 78 health plans covering 1.2 million lives. ?? Total drug spending reached $8.9 billion in 2023, with $4.1 billion allocated to specialty drugs.
