We have been busy this week and last! Last week, we released our Tribal Prenatal-to-Three Agenda and supported the Medicare, Medicaid and Health Reform Policy Committee (MMPC). This week started with the HHS Traditional Healing Summit Monday and Tuesday, and then the Secretary's Tribal Advisory Committee on Wednesday! #NIHBinAction

As we honor #NAHM, NIHB’s Project Firstline reflects on a year of strides in infection control across Tribal communities: - Infection Control Tools: Rolled out assessment and response tools to help Tribal facilities stay safe and prepared. - Mentorship for New Healthcare Workers: Our new program connected experts with newcomers to build infection prevention skills. - Training and Education: Hosted webinars, developed learning modules, and provided on-site trainings in Tribal communities. - Supporting Our Partners: Distributed $300,000 in grants to Tribal facilities and provided travel scholarships for training. This extraordinary dedication is rooted in their love for their homelands and their sense of duty to fulfill treaty obligations. For over 200 years, Native Americans have courageously served in every major conflict, from the Revolutionary War to the modern-day front lines.
