关于我们
The National Immigration Project (NIPNLG) promotes justice and equality of treatment in all areas of immigration law, the criminal justice system, and in social policies related to immigration. For more than 50 years, NIPNLG has been at the forefront of defending the civil, human, and statutory rights of noncitizens across the United States, in order to expand the rights of all immigrants, to respond to threats against noncitizens, and to promote equality. One of our signature contributions is providing legal and technical support and training to immigrant communities, legal practitioners, and all advocates working to advance the rights of noncitizens. We are particularly committed to working on behalf of disenfranchised populations, including victims of crimes (such as intimate partner violence and workplace crimes), youth, and noncitizen criminal offenders. A national membership organization, the National Immigration Project provides support to thousands of lawyers, law students, legal workers, public defenders, jailhouse lawyers, and allies nationwide, who seek equality and justice for all under the law.

We are so grateful to the Ford Foundation for featuring the National Immigration Project's Executive Director, Sirine Shebaya, alongside this inspiring group of movement leaders.
In the United States, a #SupremeCourt decision can have enormous impacts on people across the country. In 2023, several of our grantees had front-row seats to these changes, as they were involved in pivotal cases that went before the Court. Recently, these leaders told us how they pursued their cases, what the outcomes were, and how the Court’s rulings have affected the work they are still doing tirelessly: https://lnkd.in/e6E_Cc8g Aarti Kohli, Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Asian Law Caucus Evan Milligan, Alabama Forward Andrea Marra, TLDEF Sarah Kastelic, National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) Sirine Shebaya, National Immigration Project ??: Tom McKenzie/Getty Images for Ford Foundation Martin Klimek / Getty Images for Ford Foundation Simon Luethi for Ford Foundation Janine Namgung #SCOTUS #SocialJustice
