Tenants in North Carolina are pushing for an eviction moratorium as people recover from Hurricane Helene. Localities across the country have implemented eviction bans post disaster to help stabilize tenants. "Something like an eviction moratorium is a way to just ensure nobody makes any sort of rash decisions that can disrupt the status quo until people can get back on their feet," said NHLP’s senior staff attorney Hannah Adams to Law360. https://conta.cc/4eZ6JEG
