Congratulations, Senior Airman Vincenza Costanzo! The New York National Guard Airman was the top-scoring woman at a South African National Defence Force Military Skills Competition, where she was one of 17 New York Guardsmen representing the U.S. at the annual competition. The New York National Guard, which has had a State Partnership Program relationship with South Africa’s military since 2003, regularly sends teams to compete in the event. #NationalGuard #StatePartnershipProgram

The Louisiana National Guard hosted a delegation of officers from the Republic of Korea’s Army to share its extensive disaster response experience. “We were honored to support our ally, South Korea, by hosting this delegation at Jackson Barracks,” said Col. Willus Hall, chief of the joint staff for LANG. “The purpose of their visit was to gain knowledge about our planning and execution processes for commodities distribution so they can strengthen this capability within their force.”

This week, the West Virginia National Guard and Gabon held a signing ceremony and key leader engagement to formally begin their relationship through the State Partnership Program. The program, which now includes 105 partnerships with 115 nations, is a vital tool for fostering security cooperation.

Gen. Ronald P. Clark, U.S. Army Pacific commanding general, met with Army National Guard leaders, enabling states involved in the State Partnership Program to share updates on their operations, activities and key leader engagements in the region. “By engaging directly with state senior leaders, the forum facilitates open communication, fosters mutual understanding, and ensures that National Guard operations are harmonized with Indo-Pacific strategic initiatives.” #NationalGuard #FreeAndOpenIndoPacific #Partners

Pennsylvania National Guard Soldiers participated in an annual training exercise alongside their Lithuanian partners, Polish, United Kingdom and U.S. troops, to rehearse the planning and execution of Lithuanian and allied troops’ defensive operations. The Pennsylvania Guard and Lithuania have worked closely together since 1993 through the State Partnership Program. Maj. Gen. Duke Pirak, acting director of the Air National Guard, traveled to his hometown of Seattle to engage with industry experts and community leaders as part of the United States Air Force’s city outreach program. To kick off the multi-day engagement, Pirak met with the World Affairs Council - Seattle to discuss Air Force priorities, including re-optimizing for Great Power Competition. Pirak also spoke with faculty and students at the University of Washington's Jackson School of International Studies and ROTC cadets about leadership qualities and what it means to serve. To round out the engagement, Pirak was honored on the field for the university's Salute to Service football game. #NationalGuard #Community #Leadership
