NGAMS is not a military organization, but an organization of military personnel. It is an organization that fosters and supports the role of the National Guard in Mississippi and the National Guard of the United States in providing for and assuring the military security of our Nation. NGAMS was formed in 1932 to further the National Guard in the State of Mississippi and to provide a strong, united voice in which the needs of guardsmen can be heard on the State level in legislative affairs.

Army Lt. Gen. Jonathan M. Stubbs will serve as the National Guard Bureau's acting chief, National Guard officials announced Monday. Most recently the adjutant general of Arkansas, Stubbs was promoted to lieutenant general and is now the senior officer at NGB. https://lnkd.in/euXgzC-X

Today, President Joe Biden nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Steven S. Nordhaus to serve as the 30th chief of the National Guard Bureau, replacing Army Gen. Daniel R. Hokanson. If confirmed by the Senate, Nordhaus would promote to four-star general and serve as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. #nationalguard #leadership
