Beyond the Walls this Black History Month! The National Great Blacks In Wax Museum is bringing history to life with two powerful exhibits in Maryland and Virginia! Shaping a Nation’s Destiny – Fashion Centre at Pentagon City (Feb. 1–28). Experience Black History with life-sized wax figures of trailblazers like A. Philip Randolph, General Colin Powell, and Mary McLeod Bethune—honoring the resilience and impact of Black leaders in civil rights, labor, military, science, and the arts. Shaping Maryland’s Legacy – Miller Senate Building, Annapolis (Feb. 4-28). A special exhibit celebrating Maryland’s Black pioneers, including Congressman Parren Mitchell, Sen. Verda Welcome, and Cathy Hughes, whose contributions shaped labor rights, education, and politics. “These exhibits are more than just displays—they are living history, reminding us of the past and inspiring the future,” says Dr. Joanne Martin, Co-Founder of NGBIWM. Innovation coming to the museum! Last week, the Juxtopia? JUICE Network and the National Great Blacks In Wax Museum (NGBIWM) made history! Their AI clinical instructor and law enforcement trainer were selected among four Maryland companies to demo at Maryland Japan Night at the Japanese Ambassador’s House. Juxtopia’s JET Apprentices showcased these cutting-edge AI and wearable technologies to leaders from Maryland and Japan. The Lt. Governor of Maryland took special interest, inviting the team to the upcoming AI Maryland panel in Annapolis. Next stop: World Expo in Osaka, Japan, expanding Juxtopia’s partnership with Tokyo University to advance clinical training and engineering collaborations.
