OCTOBER 10th is WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY Today, on World Mental Health Day, let’s remind ourselves that mental health is just as important as physical health. Every one of us can experience struggles, whether it's stress, anxiety, burnout, or more complex mental health conditions. Together, we can foster a culture of openness and support, both in the workplace and beyond. Here are a few ways we can make a difference: - Listen and Empathize: Sometimes, lending an ear is all someone needs. - Promote Balance: Encourage taking breaks, mindfulness, and stress-relief activities. - Destigmatize Conversations: Speak up and normalize talking about mental health without shame or fear of judgment. - Support Professional Help: Seek or encourage professional help when needed—there’s strength in seeking support. Let’s continue working towards a world where mental health is a priority for all. ???? Board officers for the 2024-25 term are Chair, Rick Locke, MONTANA SASH & DOOR, INC., Bozeman, Mont.; Chair-elect, Tim Kelley, Tristar Glass, Inc., Catoosa, Okla.; Treasurer, Demetrios Stathopoulos, Ajay Glass Co., Canandaigua, N.Y.; and Immediate Past Chair, Ronald Crowl, FeneTech | A Cyncly Company, Aurora, Ohio. Returning board members are Tara Brummet, Vitrum Glass Group, Langley, BC, Canada; Silas Koonse, Koonse Glass Co. And, we’re launching our refreshed Glass & Glazing Design Academy this month with Architectural Record, kicked off with a live webinar on Oct 31 spotlighting Keith Fine AIA and Blaine Grantham discussing technology in architecture.
