We had an incredible time at this year’s National Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference in Boston, MA spilling the tea about our social studies offerings! National Geographic Explorer Tara Roberts delivered an inspiring presentation at our booth, followed by an engaging Civics Action Project workshop led by local teacher, Dave Forster. On Friday and Saturday, our booth buzzed with excitement, featuring a lively Happy Hour, a popular tumbler giveaway, and MapMaker demo sessions from our partners Esri. The conference provided an amazing opportunity to connect with Social Studies educators, gain valuable feedback on our products, and strengthen relationships. A huge shoutout to our amazing #SocialStudies team for their energy and dedication, which made this conference so impactful and brought our mission to life by engaging and inspiring everyone who visited. We’re excited to build on the incredible connections we made and continue transforming social studies education with National Geographic Learning | Cengage resources!

Last week in Boston, our Social Studies team had the pleasure of sponsoring the Council of State Social Studies Specialists (CS4) Annual Meeting, leading into the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Annual Conference. We enjoyed meeting social studies specialists from around the country while discussing the importance of teaching history, geography, civics, and other social studies in classrooms. National Geographic Explorer-In-Residence, Tara Roberts joined us to discuss her important research following a Diving With a Purpose team on a quest to document and identify sunken slave shipwrecks. #NCSS2024 #SocialStudies
