We'd like to thank NFPA Region III Director Jessica Kubiak. R.P. OSBA Certified for joining us for our March General Membership meeting.  It was a great opportunity for our membership to meet you!  As we reminded everybody during that meeting, PACO is a dual membership association, which means that all PACO members are also members of National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc..  As members of NFPA, you all are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in NFPA activities, including the Monthly Board Meeting.  The Board Meeting is an excellent opportunity to hear what's going on with NFPA and learn about its initiatives and upcoming events. Up to now, NFPA distributed the monthly Board packet and registration information only to local association delegates.  In an effort to improve communication and increase participation with all members, NFPA will begin distributing the Board Packet and registration link to all members, beginning in April.  The emails should begin hitting your inbox the middle of April.  If you have any questions about NFPA or are curious to learn more, please reach out at nfpa@pacoparalegals.org. On August 3, 1990, President George H. W. Bush signed a resolution that marked November as a month to honor and celebrate the culture, traditions, and contributions of Native Americans. This month, let's recognize the beauty and resilience of Indigenous cultures and acknowledge the tremendous impact Native people have had on our nation.

I am pleased to take a moment to acknowledge the transition in leadership happening within the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc.(NFPA). Josie Estes, who has served with exceptional dedication as NFPA’s president, will be stepping down, and Lori Wagner will be assuming this vital leadership role. On behalf of incoming AAfPE President Chris Simcox and myself, and the entire American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Josie for her unwavering commitment, leadership, and contributions throughout her term. Josie's efforts have been instrumental in advancing the paralegal profession, and we are deeply appreciative of the impactful work she has done in strengthening our collective mission. At the same time, we are excited to welcome Lori Wagner as the incoming president. We look forward to fostering a strong and collaborative relationship with Lori and the NFPA as we continue working together to further the development of paralegal education and to support the growth and professionalization of paralegals across the nation. We look forward to continuing the excellent relationship between NFPA and AAfPE. We are confident that with Lori's leadership, the paralegal profession will continue to grow and thrive.
