Join us in San Diego in just six weeks for our 25th Annual International Family Justice Center Conference. Family Justice Centers are developing across the country and around the world. They are an evidence-based, best practice model for meeting the needs of domestic and sexual assault survivors -- providing wraparound services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. We have 300 Family Justice Centers worldwide with many more in development. Even if you don't have a Family Justice Center in your community, our subject matter training comes from some of the best trainers in the country. Join us and bring a team! Family Justice Centers are proving that we can STOP domestic violence homicides in America. High risk victims don't die when they get through the front doors of a dynamic Family Justice Center framework. Domestic violence homicides have been on the rise for 10 years in the US, but not in Family Justice Centers. "Every community needs schools hospitals, churches, businesses, and Family Justice Centers." -- San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan https://conta.cc/41ZNMfQ

Last week, we made history in Washington, D.C. with 80 leaders of the Family Justice Center movement and many of their local elected officials advocating for national standards for Family Justice Centers, advocating for the rights of domestic violence victims to receive free forensic exams (just like sexual assault victims) including transport and imaging if needed. We also advocated for HR 909 (Wagner (R -- MS), the best option for backfilling the dramatic drop in VOCA funding across the country. Thank you, Representative Ann Wagner (R-MS) for your leadership and advocacy. We obtained bi-partisan support for our Family Justice Center national accreditation process legislation with Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) #familyjusticecenter #lastwarningshot #victimsrights #domesticviolence

Such an incredible week in Washington, DC as we sought sponsors for the Family Justice Center and Collaborative Communities Act of 2025. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D—CT) and Marsha Blackburn (R—TN) have provided our initial bi-partisan support in the Senate. And we will introduce the same legislation in the House with bi-partisan sponsors. It is time to set national standards for our rapidly developing Family Justice Center movement with 150 Family Justice Centers now across the country. #familyjusticecenters

Such an incredible week in Puerto Rico, training 300 caring professionals (police officers, prosecutors, advocates, judges, doctors, pathologists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, civil attorneys, child welfare professionals, and many others who are working to stop gender-based violence on the island. "If we can create Family Justice Centers across Puerto Rico, prosecute men who strangle women, and develop Camp HOPE America programs for Puerto Rican children, we will reduce homicides and change the destinies of tens of thousands of families in the years to come." -- Casey Gwinn, Alliance President Our Alliance team hosted a three day Masters Course on the Handling of Strangulation Assaults this week and helped Puerto Rico begin dreaming about Family Justice Centers and Camp HOPE America programs across the island! Puerto Rico has one of the highest per capita rates of women being murdered in the US and they are determined to focus holding men accountable for strangulation assaults, working with children impacted by domestic and sexual violence, and creating Family Justice Centers across the island! Special thanks to the Secretary of Justice, Janet Parra Mercado (in the front of the group picture) for her leadership and determination to reduce the murders of women, men, and children in Puerto Rico. And we honor their Chief Prosecutor, Laura Hernandez, for her relentless vision to change the world. #hoperisingscience #familyjusticecenters #lastwarningshot U.S. Department of Justice, The Office on Violence Against Women
