#ResearchRetrospective: 10 years ago, we helped fund a project with Columbia University exploring whether knowledge and expertise accumulated from past decisions can offset age-related cognitive declines. This study was the first to combine credit report data with multiple standard measures of fluid intelligence, crystallized intelligence and economic preference assessments—a strategy that continues to be used by the #research community. https://bit.ly/48YyJGw #FinancialEducation #ResearchStudy
#ResearchRetrospective: In 2013, the University of Colorado used a NEFE-funded grant to explore the connection between #FinancialLiteracy and the choices that people make about their finances, using 188 studies that engaged 585,168 participants. In partnership with the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, the Financial Life Cycle Education Corp, or Ficycle, is a #FinancialEducation #NotForProfit working with educators and organizations to equip all students with the mathematical and #FinancialSkills and understanding necessary to navigate their #FinancialLifeCycle.
