National Education Equity Lab

I am pleased to announce that I am working with the National Education Equity Lab in partnership with Howard University as a Teaching Fellow for Introduction to Psychology this semester. This dual-enrollment course is offered to high-school students, giving them access to college-level courses and the opportunity to earn college credit. It has truly been a joy working with these students, and this experience has only deepened my passion for education and student support. I would especially like to thank Dr. Oritsegbubenmi Ayu for introducing me to this opportunity. I am honored to be both a resource and a helping hand for the students and teachers I am working alongside. I am thrilled to contribute to an initiative dedicated to bringing equity into higher education, and I look forward to continuing this work to help expand access to transformative learning experiences!

Congratulations to our 19 incredible SEO Scholars who have been admitted into the National Education Equity Lab (NEEL) Honor Society Scholar Program! These outstanding students showcased their hardwork and dedication by scoring in the top 5% of all enrolled across the country in their Fall 2024 courses of Introduction to Microeconomics, Essentials of Personal Finance, and Climate Change and You, The Engineer. Laura has over 15 years of experience in policy at the national, state, and local levels. As Higher Education Officer at the National Education Equity Lab, she leads the organization’s strategy to partner with top colleges and universities to reach 1 million students from underserved communities over the next decade. Previously, Laura worked as the Chief of Staff to the CEO and Deputy Director of Education at the Obama Foundation.
