Attendees at the National Cyber Summit today enjoyed listening to National Cyber Director Harry Coker, speaking live from his office at the White House. Director Coker spoke about the range of cyber threat actors our nation must defend against, the types of tools they use, and how we should think about emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence being used as a weapon against us. Director Coker also talked about cybersecurity challenges for space systems, regulatory harmonization, a roadmap for making the core of the Internet more secure, and efforts underway to increase the size of our cyber workforce.

Lloyd’s commitment to sharing his knowledge and expertise through mentoring individuals and teams has fostered a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the broader defense community. Kala Jo has made significant contributions to school and local community cybersecurity programs by establishing a student-operated cyber range at MCCTC and providing hands-on cybersecurity training for students. She has developed and mentored student interns in the greater Huntsville area and expanded their cybersecurity capabilities. #NCS2024
