Pajarillo PhD, RN, NI-BC, CPHQ, NEA-BC, ANEF, FAAN, Founding President of NC-ANE and Professor at Adelphi University College of Nursing and Public Health (CNPH), for having been awarded the 2025 Innovative Academic Support Initiative by the?Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education (CASHE) of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) on February 17, 2025, at the annual convention held at the Long Beach Convention Center in CA. Students also qualitatively shared that the program was quite helpful and timely, easy to use and navigate, and had topics that were relevant and appropriate for their use. The program is also now being used in the graduate health informatics and communication science disorders programs. Dr. Pajarillo also established a consortium of faculty from different schools who have used the ETS Onboarding Program as their model to offer the same resource to their incoming graduate students. Participating schools include University of Mississippi Medical Center, Bradley University, The University of Toledo,?and Texas Wesleyan University. All collaborating faculty have presented their works in five research conferences and published one. More manuscripts are in various stages of publication. Today, we pause to honor the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose unwavering pursuit of justice, equality, and opportunity continues to inspire generations. As academic nurse educators, we stand at a unique intersection where education meets advocacy—a space where Dr. King’s teachings find profound relevance. Dr. King once said, “?????? ???????????????? ???? ?????????????????? ???? ???? ?????????? ?????? ???? ?????????? ?????????????????????? ?????? ???? ?????????? ????????????????????. ???????????????????????? ???????? ??????????????????—???????? ???? ?????? ???????? ???? ???????? ??????????????????.” In our roles, we shape not just future nurses but also future leaders, advocates, and change agents in healthcare. We have the power to: ?? Foster inclusive learning environments where diversity thrives. ?? Empower our students to champion equity and compassion in care delivery. ??? Equip them with the skills and mindset to dismantle health disparities and advance social justice. On this day, let us recommit to ensuring that the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just ideals but daily practices in our classrooms, clinical settings, and communities. Together, we can build a healthcare workforce that reflects the very principles Dr. King devoted his life to. #NCANE #AcademicNurseEducators #MLKDay
