Artistic Director, President & CEO at National Children's Chorus ? GRAMMY? Award-winning conductor ? Arts Educator & Advocate ? Industry Innovator & Entrepreneur
For your GRAMMY? consideration: HELP MAKE HISTORY by supporting “Illumine” for Best Choral Performance (the first time ever a youth solo album would be recognized in this category). https://lnkd.in/eFqpKcqq Truly, I’m so proud of the National Children's Chorus and the jaw-dropping beauty they created here with the London Symphony Orchestra. Internally, for years, our methodology at the NCC has been to validate, recognize and acknowledge the potential for greatness within each child—greatness not as a distant goal for the future, but an attainable reality in the present. Children are often underestimated, but the truth is that when you set the bar high for them, they not only reach it, but exceed it. “Illumine” is a testament to this truth. The difficulty of musical execution was sky high, and the endurance required was immense—17 tracks and 837 takes—accomplished with mastery by 250 young singers in just 3 days of recording. What a huge accomplishment, and more, what a gift. Please enjoy the artistry of “Illumine” and we encourage voting members of the academy to join our cause. Thank you everyone for your support—engaging youth proactively in the present truly is how we create a better future.
