On 6 - 7 March, we hosted the annual NCAS Early Careers Symposium, supporting skill development, sharing of best practice, and establishing networks for early career people working in atmospheric science. As well as sharing current science research, including the effects of indoor air pollution on human health, how the restoration of wetlands affects our atmosphere, and asking how sustainable is sustainable aviation fuel, our attendees also participated in skills based workshops. From non-scientists learning to code for the first time, to discussing the importance of good mental health in academia, our early career community navigated our theme of ‘Integrity’, and built sustainable career skills for the future. It was incredibly energising to host the 35 delegates across the two days, and was wonderful to hear testimonies from attendees of what they were learning ?? Thank you to everyone involved, and we look forward to hosting again next year!
