National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector转发了
It is a very busy and noisy world. Sometimes we allow moments of insight and inspiration to pass without pausing to reflect. Inspired by Angeline Lillard's most recently published research (https://lnkd.in/g7ghtqSi), I took a moment to consider the question - "What is it that we're doing that enables people to feel that they're healthy and happy?" It led to this short video, which suggest some of the features of Montessori education that might be contributing factors to the well-being of children and how this might lead to a happier, healthier society. My accompanying article is at https://lnkd.in/gSkH-hF2, and reflects on research that looks more closely at the evidence. It is a short step from there to suggesting that politicians and policy-makers should consider how a Montessori education might bring economic benefits. I also consider research that shows how Montessori supports academic achievement alongside mental well-being and can influence creative, innovative and successful business leadership. Thank you Louise Livingston, Nicole Else-Quest Elif SEZG?N and Tülay ?ener, David Fleming and Brook Culclasure, Sonya Hemmen EdD, Ryan Marks and Katie Brown, Hal Gregersen for adding to our understanding. #montessori #voicesofAMI #mentalhealth #wellbeing #creativity #innovation #leadership #educators #schools #teachers #health #happiness #economy #society
